“No call-out charge” sounds appealing, but it’s completely misleading. Charging £85 per 30 minutes works out to £170 an hour, which is excessive. When you mention it’s an emergency, the price goes even higher, which feels unreasonable. There are plenty of qualified, reliable tradespeople who charge fair and honest prices without taking advantage. If you’re not willing to do the job at a reasonable rate, then don’t waste my time or yours.
